Burr Sutter - President

Burr Sutter is a current Sun Java Champion with over 15 years of software design and development experience along with numerous published articles, book chapters and developer conference speaking engagements. He is presently employed at JBoss, a division of Red Hat.

Gunnar Hillert - Vice President/Web Chair

A native from Berlin, Germany, Gunnar has been living in Atlanta for the last 7 years. As a Java developer he is currently working for Engauge.

Barry Hawkins - Secretary

Barry Hawkins is a native Atlantan who specializes in coaching and mentoring for Agile software development and Domain-Driven Design. Over the past 13 years, he has developed on several platforms, including Microsoft and Java as well as several other less-annoying technologies. Barry has also participated as a package maintainer for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution, serving for some time as the primary maintainer of java-package, Lucene, and several other core Java libraries. When not working or doing things with his family, he can usually be found playing World of Warcraft or Lord of The Rings Online. He also sporadically blogs.

Vincent Mayers - Treasurer

Vincent Mayers is responsible for the development, best practices and technology direction of Anteo Group's Enterprise Java consulting initiatives. Prior to Anteo Group, Mayers was the Director of Business Development for E-People UK Ltd. A London based full service software consultancy. Previously, Mayers spent 6 years with a leading European staffing company in Holland, Belgium and the UK, leading their Financial Services practice. Prior to working in technology Mayers was a full time athlete and competed at world championship level in whitewater kayaking.

Mayers earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of the West Midlands in Birmingham, England.

Sudhir Kamatkar - Program Chair

Sudhir Kamatkar is an IT consultant and developer. Sudhir has over fourteen years of IT experience building solutions in various technologies including Web and Data Warehousing. Sudhir was part of expert group for JSR 69 that is Java API for OLAP data and metadata. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering and is a Sun Certified Java Programmer and Web Component Developer.
